Headline Analyzer
Checks the things that measurably affect whether a headline gets clicked: pixel length for search results, the balance of common, uncommon, emotional and power words, whether it leads with a number or a question, and whether it stays specific rather than vague.
Free, runs entirely in your browser. No account, no usage limits, and nothing you type is uploaded.
Questions
Is there an ideal headline length?
Around 55–60 characters keeps it intact in search results. Longer works fine on social and email where nothing truncates it.
Are power words manipulative?
They can be. The score rewards specificity over hype — a headline stuffed with "shocking" and "ultimate" loses points for vagueness rather than gaining them.
